“Does Mom love me?” 

“Yes. She’s always done the best she can. But it doesn’t matter. I love you. Isn’t the sky amazing? All those stars?” 

“Why do people hurt each other?” asked the boy. 

He stared at the boy for awhile, then looked up and said, “Sky, why do people hurt each other?” 

“People need one another. People hurt one another. That’s just the way it is,” said the sky.” 

“Even good people?” 

“Yes, even good people. Relationships are hard, but not as hard as you think.” 

“Sometimes I wonder if I’m a good man.” 

“You’re a good man. A good man is hard to find.” 

“So is a good woman.” 

“A good woman is easy to spot.” 

“Oh?  What’s the secret to finding a good woman?”
